My wife came home with one of these last year, I was the first to slate it as being crap however I have been made to eat humble pie because it's brilliant.
Gets used every single day clearing up after the kids and the dog as well as general cleaning on both carpet and vinyl flooring.
Not cheap but worth every penny IMHO. Washable filters too so easy to keep in peak condition.

Saw one of those but thought it wsa rubbish the way you need to dismantle it to do different things

If you need a good ol fashioned upright hoover type thing where you just pull the snake out the foot to do the edges or the curtains or the car wink whats best?

Attaching he tools is impractical but we never use those!

This landed this morning, and have to say, for £25 I'm pretty impressed. Happy to report further in a few weeks, if anyone is interested.

Any chance of an update please - I'm going to need an ash vacuum for in-house and biomass boiler 'duties' and am interested to know how you are getting on with the one you have bought.

No probs. Been using it once or twice a week and it's pretty good. Certainly every bit as good as you could ever hope for £25, plenty enough power.

Small ash bits on the hearth and the like tend to get swept by hand, and a few times a week when I want to get rid of more ash from inside the burner I use this. The only small negative is that the entry point in to the bin from the hose is a little small, and sometimes a small bit of sucked up charcoal can partially block it, but it's easy to access and remove. This said, charcoal isn't really under the description of ash, so that's more user error!
All in all I'm very pleased with it.

One tip for when you get it. There is an air outlet on the handle, you'll feel it when you turn it on. It sounds obvious, but make sure that's not facing the ash you plan to suck up. I didn't one time, and ended up sending ash up everywhere!
