Mine at christmas, tv/audio stuff is behind where the shot was taken.

It's about to be gutted though, got some new plans for it.
Now THAT, I like
Very nice. Is that a little family of turned Banksia nut mushrooms I see in your hearth? I knock quite a few things out of those - very versatile little things they are.
Thanks! I built it all myself, from the "fireplace" feature thingy to the table (didn't make the sofa though).

I'm currently modeling a new layout/design in 3d software (best way to do it in my opinion).

edited to say, not sure what the mushroom things are, my wife brings them out at Christmas wink

Did someone say minimalist...??

I've just realised I don't have any pics with the furniture in, but this is ours just after I finished hooking the lights up (on christmas eve at about 11pm....)

I've also just remembered I hve never got round to knocking up that missing piece of dado rail either, but with the tv there it doesn't really notice.

Like both of those a lot. If my first house is anything like that, I'll be pretty chuffed. Very much a man pad - big TVs, big comfy sofas, speakers, Xbox360 and shisha pipe. Perfect!

frown Am not liking this thread....it reminds me how bad my living room looks at the mo. Everything is in boxes, in preparation for me moving back in with my mates, till I found a house I like and can afford to buy....sniff sniff

lol shisha pipe is wikid!! nice spotting their mate!! well its taken me along time to get it to this point, the down stairs is nearly complete bar downstairs toilet and kitchen, the garage is coming on nicely!! ive knocked in my new side doors in the brickwork! front porch has been put back to the original open style and it looks fantastic, so right now with the current financial situation im very happy. The best thing about my house is the countryside views which for me is unbeatable. cheers for the comments tho mate! lots of blood and sweat gone into this and comments like that make me smile!!

Love traditional rooms like that with proper proportions and lovely high ceilings ... cannot wait to get the next house, which is NOT going to be a new build!

I don't have any shots of our sitting room but here are a few of our kitchen (the relaxing end bit of it any way).

You going to the Goodwood Revival Mark? I was thinking of (trying to) persuading Vicki to come down for a weekend of cars, but in a more genteel environment smile

Well its sold now, and in 2 months i will be living somewhere alot smaller (but with a garage and garden)! The place we are renting just now is even bigger / better.

Love the brick too, and the green. Sometimes you have to ignore the 'house doctor' etc and go with your instincts!
