There's basically nothing about this house that I don't love. Unbelievable for the money.
Me too. Lovely traditional architecture, nicely proportioned rooms and a handy guest cottage. Well worth the asking price IMO
If I could convince my wife to move to Scotland and my daughter to board at school we'd be there like a shot. What amazing value.
A well executed extension to a handome peroid house, a guest cottage, workshop space, a distillery down the road, a loch over the road and high speed broadband - Perfect.
If we are talking about north of the border, this is my call. Dont need to convince the wife.
The house is tidy enough, with planning for another. And all the land aswell. But that location. So much want.

Wonder why they've created a perfect hot tub platform and then decked it over?

Really? Wow, takes all sorts I suppose, it looks like a total waste of wood to me. In fact, it's worse than that because it spoils the view from the house. And on that basis I disagree with myself about it being a good hot tub location.

I don't care for the decking immediately outside the house, but the circular decking on the stilts?

Yup. Love it.

I like the potential new build. Could be very special.

Hadn't actually noticed the decking outside the house, that's another yuk from me. I just don't see what either of them contributes and I actively dislike the stilty bit because it mucks up the glorious natural view from the house. Never saw the advantage of perching on some planks and especially not in this case.

Fabulous location and wonderful views, but the bungalow is disappointingly ordinary. Not offensive in any way, just a missed opportunity IMO, and the rendering of the one with permission doesn’t do it any favours.

Nice house. Likely by Robert Adam or Ben Pentreath, judging by the excellent detailing.

Tiny plot and by far the best house in the village, so not for me.

I’m not a fan of pastiches at all, but this is well done. I’m not sure it’s by Adam or Pentreath though; given their standing in architectural circles I’m sure the EA would state it in the ad.
