Ryobi have 15% off over the weekend.
Where? Just looking for a brush cutter.
It's on a 'selected range' of products, so you may or may not be in luck.

Use SAVE15 at the checkout.
Which site though? ebay or somewhere else?

I'm looking to buy a Ryobi hedge trimmer and last week they were listed at £90. This week they are listed at £109 so I suspect the 15% discount is a bit if a con.

We'll I did it....

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a DeWalt Inflator, and I even had encouragement from the wife! Nice day here so she wanted to pump up the paddling pool our 4 yr old. I got the stirrup type airbed pump out and she starting pumping while I was washing the van. 30kns later a frustrated wife comes out and says can I do the pool, its taking too long. It didn't help she was using the wrong adapter so more air was coming out as going in, but before I showed her the error of her ways, I steered her towards how an electric one that takes my drill batteries will be a good investment!

On from that, anyone got any recommendations for DeWalt battery mounts and drill mounts so I can keep my slowly growth my collection of batteries tidy? The battery ones seem easy to get, but there are fewer of the tool type ones (or it mimics the shape of a battery) about.

I can't quite picture what you mean. I have a collection of T-Stak cases and that works well - including one that is for spare batteries & a charger that has no insert, so just a plastic case, but keeps things tidy.

FFX had a good price FFX on so I went for the Dewalt 18v angle grinder and the small reciprocating saw. Just need to find something to grind or cut now!

I've a few other dewalt bits si the body only stuff makes good sense. Right let's see what else we 'need' from their 18v range...

One of these looks very handy, but as there's only one place that sells them I've no idea if that's the right price or not.

There are £15 knock-offs on Amazon, but I suspect that they are made of tin and don't work.

Has anyone bought the "proper" one or a cheap one, and is it worth the cost?
For a brief moment I thought that was the thick end of £180!

It is, which is why I’d like to know if it’s worth it.

This sort of thing for a tool
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-4pcs-Tool-Ready-Dock-...

And this for batteries https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5x-BATTERY-MOUNTS-for-D...

I'm terrible with proper cases for things I use often, like a drill or impact driver, they just never go back, so having them hanging from u set a shelf would be handy.

They look neat - I don't have the space so mine have to go away.

I'd always assumed they were for van storage, to stop stuff moving around & had never considered them for domestic use. I do liek the look of them though smile

I've ordered a cheap one off ebay. Been using 'airbags' to help hang doors, but wanted this to get extra height.
Haven't got it yet, will report back when I do.

I'm thinking of getting a couple of the cheap ones to help install tall kitchen units that need to be righted before putting the front two legs on due to ceiling height. Reviews seem very mixed so please do report back.

Got a old hand sanding block pinched from my fathers toolbox. Made by 'Cintride'. It's a course grit (a bit less than a modern 60), tungsten carbide grit on a metal plate, on a block. Sounds pretty boring right? Except this thing does not wear out. My father used it for 20 years on all sorts of wood, i've been using it to knock the cut edges of construction timber back etc. It still just keeps going.

So I treated myself to some more from a company called Alphacut in various grits. Seems they took over the original 'Cintride Carbide' company that invented it in the first place.

Sandpaper that never wears out. Absolutely chuffing brilliant.

Looks good; I've just bought a couple of the blocks and a mix of the pads. I bought some for my dad too as I know that it's the kind of thing that he would appreciate too. Wonder if they'll come in time for father's day!
I also liked the look of the grinding discs, I've got some metal prep to do in a few weeks so they look like they'll be a better alternative than flap discs or those abrasive mesh things. Good shout dublove!

For metal prep for welding I'd take a flap disc over a grinding disc every time

For cleaning up welds I'd take a grinding disc over a flap disc for initial clean up every time

I'm not a great welder but I'm a reasonably good grinder biggrin

Neat idea but £17.99 just to hold a battery! make DeWalt look cheap!
