A house I once looked at:

When I looked at it back in 2007 or 2008, it was a wreck - it was on the market for (IIRC) c£3mio.
It is a stunning building.
I decided it was a money pit. I thought you'd quite easily spend that again if you wanted to do it properly and the space was not easily adapted for modern needs (en-suites and the like). It is Grade 1 listed and had been abused by the previous tenant (a language school).
I think I posted on here when it was in wreck condition and when it came back on the market last June at £6m.http://search.savills.com/property-detail/gbcarsla...

This is a nice story, the Coates (sellers now) who bought it and saved it - http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Homes-and-Gardens/...
It does seem a bit silly for it to be haunted by Queen Mary, she didn't die there and only visited for one night in the previous house that was destroyed, this being the house built after her visit.

Hmmnn - £3.5m for this (a few hundred yards away in my village) - perhaps a tad over-priced? Kitchen a touch small at that price...

pparently it comes with a double garage but the fkwit of a lazy estate agent who wants to trouser £10-£15k on the sale can't be arsed to put it on the floor plan so it's a guess how large it is. Walk on...
