This is fab. And annoying. It’s a lighthouse. But you don’t get the lighthouse. Still, at least it means someone else looks after it.

I’ve been caught off that point in rough seas. Not a pleasant bit of water in the wrong conditions!

Do lighthouses still have fog horns? If so that one won't be fun on foggy nights! And you will need thick curtains

Yes, yes they do.
However the light probably wouldn't affect the house.

Great picture but really just a reminder that the wife would be expecting you to go next door every evening to demand that the neighbour turn off the annoying lamp.

Easily fixed though. A couple of weeks leave and a B&Q card, or - rather better - a few grand thrown at someone who knows what he's doing and can transform that in a week (ish).

This one isn't for sale, but it's an interesting story...

The original house was bought in 2009 for £1.6m and immediately bulldozed. The house you see below was built on the cleared plot.

Someone's invested a lot of money between buying the original house, bulldozing and clearing it, building this house and then then there's the landscaping.

Impressive project...

That was promising, until I got to the third picture.

And then I stopped.

Quite an accomplishment to spend that much money and end up with something so lacking in character.

I'm sure the quality is there and if someone offered it to me for free I'd take it. But...it's really not to my taste and that's coming from someone who likes modern architecture- when done well.

Agree. In this case, however, it’s not modern architecture. It just borrows cues from countless barn conversions and, as above, golf/health spa vernacular.
