I have some distant relatives who live near there in Skibbereen- I think that Island is/was owned by the guy who invented the Bullworker exercise thing years ago.
Even if there was a road bridge to the mainland, it's still very remote - about an hours drive into Cork.
First Father Ted now Alan Partridge in my head (Lyne was from Skibbereen).

This is Linehan country.

I'd be all over that with a EUR100m win!

Looks nice, but when Luffenham closes in the next couple of years, you can expect the area to be swallowed up by a New Town

If you take out the skiing element then it's all a bit footballer.

If it was a house in Leicestershire, I reckon we'd all be slagging it off.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never had the ‘lifestyle’ because I’m not wealthy, but just the act of going skiing is pretty damn expensive in itself. If I was rich, dare say I’d go a bit further with it without really trying.

You only need to stay away from 2 or 3 key European resorts to avoid all of that st.

ETA: and now I've seen where that place above is, I rest my case!

Must be my age or something but I find it all really hard to look at for some reason.

That's because when you get your "I'm an Estate Agent" badge and hat, they also give you one of these

Apologies if it's been posted before but this appeals to me...

The extra houses that come with it ruin the solitude side of things somewhat but I guess you could use them to escape the wife / kids if you didn't want holiday lets.
That is such an incredible prospect. It's mad to think that you can buy all that for the price of detached house in St Johns Wood, North London.
Just think of the epic things you could do if you were wealthy enough to buy it and had a private island. Count me in.

Fyre Festival 2.0? hehe
That is amazing. So fully self contained you could live there for years and never have to leave the island for anything.

Does look lovely, having a reservoir at the bottom of the garden is attractive, but it's "on lead" only for dogs.

This one's not far.
