This is in my neck of the woods and unless I’m missing something presents something of a bargain I’d say!
Nice area perhaps a bit busy now in the summer but a great pub to make up for that.

Exactly the sort of thing I want as my 'semi retirement' home - easy division for a B&B wing for some semi-passive income, and loads of gardens/veg/workshops to spend my days pottering.

It would do for me despite the neighbours and the silly price and it being on the Northern Line.
That is crushingly disappointing for the money and the iconic nature of the building. Terrible thing. It would do for me despite the neighbours and the silly price and it being on the Northern Line.
Small (very), but nicely done. Crying out for a modest extension, I'd say.

Yes, I saw, but clearly £250K for 3 years isn't happening, so I was wondering what the angle was. Will there be a hefty chunk on top for a lease extension, or what exactly? Not sure how you extend a caravan?

Will there be a hefty chunk on top for a lease extension, or what exactly? Some optimist has built that in their back garden, and would now like to sell it without actually selling it. They’d be better off renting it out I suppose, but seem to want a large cash injection instead.

In what way does that work, £250,000 to "rent" 600 odd sq feet for 3 years (£7000 a month), madness.https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/130310720#/...

The location isn't great. It’s nowhere near anything else of interest without a long walk/annoyingly busy bridges over the river, or a branch line of the tube.
For that amount you buy a lot of flat in a proper part of town.
Funnily enough, I thought it was a branch line too but it seems that nearly every other goes that way, at least at the weekend. For that amount you buy a lot of flat in a proper part of town.

Gutted by fire in 2006 and completely rebuilt. I can’t begin to imagine the insurance claim.

I quote the article.
Armed with sketches, the family then approached the Hungarian architecture firm Hello Wood to turn the design into a reality.
Where did the sketches come from? Designed by a 12 year old, turned into reality with help from architects. Pedantic Pit Pony. I quote the article.
