This one in Australia has become quite popular over the last couple of days. Not for the house itself, which is rather plain, but for the advert. "So breathtakingly horrific that it borders on art. Unnecessarily sexual, incredibly funny and 'the most real estate agent video I have ever seen'."

Enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=145&am...

Seems harsh, it quite good fun. Having real dancers makes it less cheesy than if it were just a couple of actors (or worse still, amateurs) slavering or grinning inanely at each other across the kitchen counter - that would have been truly awful.

Most striking thing about the property for me, apart from blandness inside, is how tiny the outside area is. You've got what's barely more than a plunge pool and a postage stamp on which to fire up the barby and that's it. And your neighbour's barbys will be sizzling 6" away from the three sides of your back fence.
yes

Its a bit of fun. It'll sell sooner rather than later now. Despite the properties shortcomings

Ok...what do you all think of this? Bit unusual as there aren't many town centres houses with their own mini island!

I like that, but there again I'm a sucker for water. The pool below there is where Whitehouse & Mortimer were moored in the punt fishing for sea trout.

I love it, but you could never have the windows open in summer with (and maybe even without) the lights switched on.

I live next to the Thames in the Richmond/Kingston area and the flies get really bad at times in the summer.

Bloody hell that's amazing.

How much is it? I can't tell from your link.
It’s nicely done for sure
Very nice, £2.85m https://www.zoopla.co.uk/new-homes/details/4773803...
Does this property and this. https://housepartnership.co.uk/property/26771585/

Have a category in terms of style. Those I. The know, their input would be appreciated. It’s like a collaboration of old and new wink

Fancy a manor house for a pittance? This is up for auction in a couple of weeks, guide price £230k: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

Yes, it needs a bit of work but apparently £400k of restoration work is being done based on a s106 obligation on a development in the former grounds. Not sure how far £400k would go, nor how that would actually happen anyway.

The house itself has been in the press since 2011: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/o... and was described by the Daily Mail as the 'cheapest manor house in Britain' when it was marketed at £350k last year: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4573894/G...
Just to close a loop, this one made £318k at auction.

Couple of local ones to me. Might need a Euromillions win first though:

Quite handy for Caffeine & Machine.

This one ticks loads of boxes but map view does seem to show farm buildings and barns very close to the perimeter of the property:

First one just needs a bit of colour, but otherwise very nice.

Don't like the second one.

That's the one completely surrounded by new housing, IIRC. Wonder what it'll end up as?

1.3 acres of land, 0.2 miles from a tube station. Spent some time looking at this and running the numbers over the last couple of weeks. It's overpriced as it is but the plot is staggeringly beautiful.

Needs knocking down and something special building there but that 'something special' just made the build figures a bit out of my comfort zone.

I obtained the auction pack though didn't check whether it sold or for how much. The title shows it was sold for £275k in July 2018; clearly that buyer managed to shift it on with what should be a slight profit after purchase and sale costs, but I wonder why he sold so quickly? Too onerous a property to restore when reality hits?
