£40K per week!

Granted it's an incredibly high spec place in a very desireable area. But do you still get noise transmission like every other flat in the country? Or are these soundproofed to a mental level so you can hear a mouse fart?
Honestly, that leaves me cold. It's a flat all said.
It’s the whole of one floor! In correct terms it’s described as ‘lateral apartment’

and the agent is actually one of my clients! Nice people to work for too.

Grade 1 listed

Doesn't look very well cared for and maybe not as private as you might think ?

No interior pics

I noticed that too (no int pics). Lazy estate agents as usual.

Or just keeping the interior private from the random internet tyre kickers.

I suppose their could be some very valuable furniture and artwork in there that the owners would not want advertised, leaving them open to a robbery.

I got married there in 2004.

Big waste of money though as she buggered off 11 months later.

It's big and old, but I don't find it very attractive.

I'd much rather have this... https://search.savills.com/property-detail/gblhral...

Unlikely as there was a sale at Bonhams in 2018

It was paintings, a lot of bronzes, furniture, rugs, silver, medals, hats, boots

Jewelry was sold by Chorleys

I think it's empty

I couldn't actually imagine myself living there.... but it is stunning. Car Phone Warehouse obviously paid well!

Many owners of substantial properties end up living in a tiny portion - a couple of rooms. Not because of money, it's just you gravitate to a study, kitchen and living room. A house like that would need filling with people - I'd rattle around in it.

Have you been reading Country Life? This pile, and a load of other super-prime places were launched this week to coincide with their Cotswolds special issue

Not the best location, but this was in there too, very cool (pdf has the best images):

Hold on a while - it's been up for a while too. Just that bit out of the way for the picky buyer at the upper end of the market?

You'd need to find three times the money, it's £30m I posted that last April when it came on the market.

Although £40K/week is a ridiculous amount to the vast majority, there are still a lot of seriously wealthy people in the world who will see £2million/year as pocket change to have a place to stay in London when they visit.
