Am i right in thinking you have gravelled and put the fence up at the same time and are also parking there when you didnt do so before then fence issue?

If I was the neighbour I’d be thanking you. Looks fine.

Posts should have a cap or a run off angle to stop them rotting in a few months, plus the rails will warp without more support. Can’t see why the neighbour is upset, unless you haven’t contained the gravel properly…stone and lawnmowers near windows is quite exciting at times.

It's definitely one of the more simple design options

I can't see why the neighbours have reacted so strongly tbh

I was expecting worse in all honesty

Anyway, the fence in question:

Looks a bit weedy in my opinion, but that's a perfectly serviceable fence and fine in appearance terms, I see no grounds for complaint.

Thanks for the advice and funny posts, genuinely lol’d at a few of them.

I’ve not replied as I’ve been away with work.

Anyway, the fence in question:

Why bother?

That’s pathetic. If you want a fence, build a decent one.

Looks fine to me. The only mistake you made was gifting 1ft of your garden to the neighbour.

The fury and anger that fences cause between neighbours knows no bounds.

I would love to see a pic but i imagine that the neighbours just think the front garden is all theirs.
On the other hand, good fences make good neighbours.
Tell that to the Koreans.

The fence is facing the wrong way. The posts are on your neighbour's side. The fence is not keeping your neighbour out. The fence is keeping you out!

It is a bit of a stretch to call that a fence hehe

And why have you put it inside your boundary, it doesn't look right and you are creating problems for yourself.

If the posts are level and in place, it's a decent starting point. You could get some panels with horizontal lats which will do a better job of keeping dogs out. It's effectively what I put up at the front of mine, and I put the panels facing our side.

It needs 2 more posts and then pickets nailed onto it.

Was it just one long lawn before then?

So you've fenced the middle and gravelled your bit?

Assuming that's the case then they are likely to be upset (wrongly) at the loss of the full lawn frontage rather than the token effort fence

Either way, fck em

Whats/how ballistic?

But, people are odd, dont know why theyd take a fence to it?maybe go round and set some boundaries?

They'll be bothered at the fact they cant cut through anymore and rolo the cocker sprocker doo dah is distressed as he cant poo on your land anymore.
