Slightly off topic, but how many times do you see the union flag being flown upside down?

A friend of mine in England hung his St George's flag outside his house, but he wasn't sure if it would cause offence

so he wrote "Allah is a tt" on it, just to be sure

Nothing to cause offence there but if you drew a picture of the chap, then you'd be in trouble... wink

where is the best place to buy a flag pole?
Flagpoles here, there's other cheaper ones if you do a search & plenty of flags too.

I always like to see flags flying, we don't take enough pride in our Union Flag here unfortunately.

This is what a flag is all about...

Cheeky!

The garden in process of having complete makover; new fences, gates, foot paths, decking, turf, hedges...and flag pole.

All of above finished next week. Next stage is rotivate and get the turf down in time for summer.

I can then gaze out at lovely scenery....and my flag pole!

No probs.
Nice thing about this one is it splits into a few pieces, so you can take it down and store it easily if you wish.

On my goddamned car, for one. One of the union flag flashes is on upside down.

Last owner claims it was deliberate, as it is apparently the signal for "help". Which is understandable in a car that tries to kill you in even slightly damp conditions.

We were always told it was "all is not right". The tale we were told about how it came about was a captured British base were forced to fly the flag in an attempt to lure in another British party. The advancing group were put on alarm as they knew the commanding officer would never have let such a thing pass.
