The 12.5 mil Forby one has been posted numerous times before and as you've pointed out, is horrendously over priced.
it must be a miss-print. just up the road is this for 1/10th the price. i actually prefer this one. couple of rooms are a bit bland but a really nice Victorian house -

the prices of these big detached character properties in southport are comparatively low because of the sheer number of them. Birkdale and that end of southport have an absolute ton of them. They're not all updated to this kind of standard but it is a number thing.

Damn it I hate being poor (relatively)

I've been walking around this area gradually exploring the rivers with the dog. Got to misterton at the weekend some awesome places. Saw these chimneys but there are a few more but just abandoned.

Look at this. I want it. Awesome area

That was on the market about 3 years ago. Same decor and pictures so same people I'd imagine. Wonder why it didn't sell.
Made it all the way up to the Trent today. Public footpaths go to two sides of it.

First off the house and location are awesome. Only one neighbour admittedly a bit run down but you can't see it. There was one other building looking farmish that seems to hold a lot of dogs. Hunt?

Anyway. I'm no structural engineer. I know nothing about building or bricks but the outside wall on the building near the river seems to be totally knackered to about 7 layers up grout and bricks all crumbly and damp.

This may or may not be a problem I don't know.

There is tall outbuilding in the drive. ( cunningly missed from the photographs but you can see the roof) I'm guessing that it will fall down any time round about Now. I was actually wondering how it hadn't collapsed due to,the angle of the bricks near the roof. I think the roof is holding it together,

The house basically sits in a pool of stagnent water no idea if this does anything to the foundations ? The bricks in the chimneys. Look a bit knackered to me, a lot the faces had crumbled away on both the house and the chimneys. Again don't know if this is an issue.

I can only imagine that a full survey may have shown up potential for huge remedial action maybe? Doesn't seem to be a a garage. Not much land unless the grass next to it belongs with it.

Seems to have original metal single glazed Windows not in the best of Nick. So heating an issue?

Would need a lot of work to make it right for me, e.g. what is with that stair case in picture 4?

Gate is cheap, bathroom is busy, pool dated...

Other than that it's ok, but for £4M up north, I'd expect more.

Bathroom is enough for most people not to even consider it I'd guess. Minging.

Marmite indeed.

Hate the stuff and the house however it's in a great location I've stayed in london many time and would have a place there in that location in a heartbeat but I'd need to rip that apart and make it a home instead of a caricature.

Need I say more?

Just can't work out who's it is, that's a pretty full on trophy cabinet.

Ross Brawn or someone like John Collins?

It is however, utter, utter perfection in every way.
It's Adrian Newey's

No it's not.
Been said several times on PH that it belongs to Paul Knapfield. I posted some info just one page ago.
