Well hopefully someone buys the house who also has an interest in cars and stumbles across PH and creates a new account and starts posting updates.

Maybe they also happen to drive an old Vauxhall 4x4.

His last reply to anything was back in April, going from a fairly prolific poster to zero. Looks like he was banned for something, I know he could be forthright on some subjects but it's a shame, this was one of the most interesting threads on the site.

Agreed, it was one of the most interesting threads. I think he has been banned. Forthright? Maybe, but I'm not sure calling someone a nob is really grounds for banning someone. You should see what goes down on MumsNet !!!!!

I certainly do, this thread has been great and he seems to have been living my dream, so it allowed me to live it vicariously through him.

I hope if he has been banned that it's not permanent and he'll be back.

Yep, this was one of my favourite threads. We live in a similar situation in Aberdeenshire so was always interested in what he'd been up to.

Another PH'er suggested he was banned.

The two points are distinct
