What a shame. No doubt to be replaced by a gauche pile comprising numerous bi-fold doors, white rendered external walls, a completely white interior, huge abstract ‘art’ on the walls and a commercial kitchen that’ll be snapped up by a City player.
Think I read somewhere that it'll be replaced with something inspired by Art Deco architecture or words to that effect. The original was fubared.

Yes, they get a lot of the plumb properties.

St Mawes lovelyness, but not surprisingly your money doesn’t go far there.

Not so sure.
As you say massively expensive, no parking, and tourists traipsing right past your front windows constantly for 6 months of the year.

It’d be interesting to see what goes up eventually.

Main house over 5,300 square feet

About 17.4 acres including paddocks
Ideal for multi-generational living
Grand reception rooms including 30' reception room and 18' garden room through to dining room
My nephew just paid that for a 1 bedroomed flat in that there London. I obviously have no taste ,looks ok to me,there was mention of outbuildings

I sold properties in and around Winchester for a year, and was fairly shocked at some of our vendors expectations of what they would achieve for their asset.

The most expensive house we marketed was this one.

In the world of overblown LA, this is fairly tasteful and fabulous for me, although the view of the city isn't the best if I'm picky.
Handy for Santa Monica.
I think this would struggle to work anywhere else in the world

Not sure whats going on with the statues in the pool though, they look like something off a film but can't picture it

Not the same house, the old one was either knocked down and the new one built or completely rebuilt, see streetview 2014-15. --> https://goo.gl/maps/QVQDEWQGhk5eU5oK7

This is the new build.

The point was that it still a decent return even taking in to account construction costs.

That's one hell of an entertaining / keeping a harem house, but not for a family!
