I quite like this (was only looking in my local area) and if you can put up with living next door to Michael Owen it seems pretty good value too.
The swimming pool is a mistake. Having a large mass of water at 80F next to the kitchen and having a spiral stair case acting as a vent upstairs to the bedrooms must make the place a hot/humid mess. They have tried to remediate with the small AC unit but that is fighting a losing battle.

Yeah the swimming pool straight off the kitchen like that is a bit weird I have to admit.

I couldn't live in Thatcher Avenue on principle.
What have you got against traditional roofs and practitioners of the ancient art?
although names do matter somewhat. Near me is a village called Snodland and notwithstanding that it's an utter pit, I couldn't live there anyway. Imagine spelling that out every time you give your address, and then getting the inevitable "who's Snod?" "What's a Snod?" etc etc.

Two years ago I viewed a house in Spuncombe Bottom, but decided against it on similar grounds.... smile

I can never see the word Snodland, usually on signposts near Maidstone, Kent, without thinking of cement, there are more cement firms around Snodland than you can shake a stick at.

Agree, a lot for your money there. Down the road there’s a smaller country house costing half as much, designed by the architect of Buckingham Palace...

Responding quickly so as not to derail the thread......there used to be several, in Snodland and Halling, but they're all gone now. I can remember when the local houses used to all be coated in a fine film of white-ish dust all the time. The main cement factory areas are now, unsurprisingly, new housing developments.

First floor windows aren't deep enough. Make the house look a bit mean, I reckon.

Likewise the pitch of the roof is too shallow contributing to the mean appearance.

It's better than Buckingham Palace though.

It’s pawn, so I’ll ignore the price, but I do like this. I’d have murdered the garden within 6 months though.

Owned by a Pher from whom I have bought a car! Lovely man, lovely family, lovely house. Wonder why it is up for sale?
Possibly my favourite house on here for a while. Only a few miles from me but a little out of my price range frown
Same here. Stunning in every way.

There's quite a lot to vacuum there. Hope he's thought of that.
