Always seems to me that even with a massive Lottery win you would have no trouble finding a perfect gaff for £1.5m or even considerably less. Beyond that, with a few exceptions of course, houses seem to get less desirable the dearer they are.

It's more interesting than the photos or floor plans show. Front and back 1st floors are separate, on separate levels with different staircases. It's run as a successful B&B, the owners quarters are completely private in the rear part of the house.

All of the above are simply dreadful except for that contemporary house.

Above a certain level, they get into pretend rich people territory. They don’t cross into proper rich people territory I.e the absolute best of everything, until you get quite a way past footballer money above say £8-10m. After that, you can find nicer stuff around even in more ‘vulgar’ styles.

Above £20m is where the real stuff is at that is a cut above.

John Terry’s pad as pictured is a few streets down from me and there are a lot worse than that in the street! His one is not too bad. Some have really tacky stupid feature brick patterns, balconies that don’t actually have opening doors onto them, horrid colours, fan light windows that don’t look right etc.

Not that I’m jealous.

Interesting how viewing figures spiked since you posted that!

The property looks fantastic. Sufficiently Robinson Crusoe, without being too isolated. Nice spot.

That, quite frankly, is beyond hideous. Fortunately, sounds like it's never been built rofl

I suspect it would be bloody hard to produce a floor plan? Honestly, if I had the asking price I'd be all over it.
