Anyone know if Plasfloor are still in business?
I’ve requested samples twice, but none delivered, and tried calling a number of times but no answer.
I requested samples a few weeks ago and they randomly turned up last week - they do look pretty decent to be fair.I’ve requested samples twice, but none delivered, and tried calling a number of times but no answer.
R-Tek on the other hand responded to queries the same day and sent a full-size tile which arrived yesterday. Probably going to go with them on that basis!

If you do go that route, I found that Bosch PVC jigsaw blades were the best for cutting the tiles.
So my RTEK sample also turned up yesterday in addition to the samples I received (bought) from Dyno tile mentioned above. I received lots of other coffee mug sized samples last year from the usual suppliers, but ruled them all out as I want seamless joins.
Here's the RTEK tile next to the Dyno (smaller sized) tile.
Initial comparisons:
- RTEK it rubbery\flexible, Dyno plastic and rigid.
- RTEK is very heavy in comparison
- RTEK is ~10mm thick, Dyno ~6mm.
- Prefer the smoother pattern on the RETEK tile.
- Worried the RTEK tile may not site perfectly flat on the floor despite it's weight. Can see some edges are not flat to the floor. Think I'll cut it in half and see how it joins together.
- That said, it would deal with the imperfections of my concrete floor better I suspect.
- No underlay required with RTEK.
Overall, not sure what to to go for. I think RTEK would look better once laid and nicer to walk on. Suspect it will come down to price.

Just took the opportunity to cut the RTEK tile and join them together. Great fitment as with the Dyno floor tile. However, as you can see from the pictures below, it will definitely look like a tiled floor since they have a "border". Whereas Dyno tiles will be more seamless for sure. Still prefer the less plasticy feel of the Rtek tile. Arghhhhh, can't decide. Being a true Scotsman, it will come down to £££'s.

How much extra are those 10mm thick hidden join tiles?Someone posted previously that the 7mm thick ones were £24.84 per sqm plus delivery and ramps, so depending on the area I think you may likely end up with a compromise somewhere if you are influenced by the £££'s

Actually the tiles I have are marketed as 7mm, but come in at just under 10mm when I measured them with my calipers. Here's the pricing RTEK sent me - Someone posted previously that the 7mm thick ones were £24.84 per sqm plus delivery and ramps, so depending on the area I think you may likely end up with a compromise somewhere if you are influenced by the £££'s
"The standard range tile in dark grey/black is priced at £21.75/m2 plus VAT and the 7mm Excel (invisible joins) tile is priced at £24.05/m2 plus VAT"
Just got some samples through from the Garage Floor Tile Company - they look pretty decent but cost more than RTEK
The joining shape is very similar as is the texture. Now got five floor tiles sitting in my office!
Still think that RTEK 7mm ones are the winner for me - just going to wait until my doors are installed before I order...
Thanks all for your help, I'll post pics once it's down!

Doesn't everyone have a garage/outdoor vacuum cleaner ?
Yes. My wife found a beetle larvae in the house the other day, is convinced we're infested, so I lent her mine to do the house with, apparently she's sucking up any eggs. There are no eggs. Anyway, she wants one instead of the stty Dyson because it actually sucks.I’ve just recently gone the Plasfloor route.

A few comments … as someone mentioned earlier, their website really isn’t very good. I managed to order twice before I realised the credit card and PayPal option were the same thing, fortunately I only paid once. Communication from them wasn’t too bad but I suspect that is due to the fact that their system let me order dark grey even though it was out of stock. They offered black as an alternative and I accepted, however I feel I may come to regret that as it really is showing the dust/footprints/tyre marks. Hopefully the dust will reduce with the tiles down but that could just be wishful thinking on my behalf.
Delivery was as someone else described, an sms on the day from “Far East” advising the time. I had no idea who Far East were and therefore what the delivery was. I wasn’t there but fortunately had a very helpful Yodel driver who called me and agreed to put the pallet on the edge of my drive. I have no idea how he did it.
I’m really impressed with the quality of the tiles and they were very easy to fit. The Dewalt jigsaw was probably overkill but, hey, we all like an excuse to buy new power tools. Other tools used were a rubber mallet and a Stanley knife.
One issue I have noticed is that the tiles really do not like the direct sunlight. I’ve left the obligatory expansion gap around the edges but then I guess all of my racking and such prevents the tiles moving and hence negates this gap. In the ten minutes it took me to sweep up and take those finally photos the tiles had expanded a lot and created “hills”. My fault for having the edges held down I guess. I’ll have to see how it settles and go from there.
I’m happy for now and hope the above is helpful.

Haha, your OCD must be as bad as mine. Exactly why I want tiles which have the seamless joins. Can't deal with jigsaw look, even in the same colour. I don’t really mind the jigsaw effect and was expecting it from other posts here. I wouldn’t want it indoors but in the garage it really doesn’t bother me.
Looking for the positive, at least my photos help you (and possibly others) decide that Plasfoor isn’t for you.
