This could go in either the nightmares or the Pawn threads, given its weirdness and uniqueness. I guess I fantasise about an alter-ego who is single and wants to live in a place like that.

WW2 watchtower in the centre of the village. Walking distance from me and every time I walk past I wish I could look inside.

I am going to view it just to experience it.

I guess, no lift.

That's a very cool place, imo. You could do a LOT with that.

h0b0 will know where this one is. It’s an interesting old house in a great location but I can almost smell the damp, and being listed I’m not sure you’d be able to add double glazing so I’m not sure I’d want to live in it even after throwing a few hundred thousand at it. I’m sure someone will have the balls to modernise it though.

the wine cellar. I love that. The rest is for someone very very brave
Big money for Greenfield, perhaps if it was Delph or the better parts of Saddleworth.

As with many of these quirky buildings, that would make a terrible home but a great AirBnB.
You'll soon get tired of trying to get up to the observatory with your morning cuppa.

Agree.

great place for an Air B&B, very good suggestion there.

Shame they removed the gun.

That area isn’t really Greenfield, and I reckon it’s almost as desirable as anywhere else in Saddleworth. There’s some big money houses up there.

Anyone fancy a nice period 6 bed townhouse in Glasgow's leafy west end for not mad money?

Seems pretty good value. Some lovely period features from what I can see in the pics.

In isolation, I really like that, and I love the west end, but there's no chance I'm spending >£1m to live in Glasgow with no off-street parking or garage (or anywhere, for that matter)

In fact it would be a step backwards, because at least I currently have off-street parking.

Was up for sale earlier this year for a similiar price, so chancing their arm again it would seem.

Not pawn but good value. Pity it’s about 40 miles too far down the road for us. Anyone relocating from London would have a lovely nest egg left from a property sale there.

It's hardly in the best condition...

Maybe they're selling because they got the repair bill.

I know it fits with the country cottage aesthetic etc. but what tool advertises that they have firearms on an EA ad?

Indeed. One of the nicest period properties we’ve seen on this thread for a while.

Wonder what's happening with the door there?

Not for everyone, but an impressive location and an interesting back story.

No sniggering at the agent’s name either…
