7m pool could be fitted with one of those Endless Pools where you swim against the current?

I don't find the interior terrible. Obviously it's far from the dernier cri in sophistication but it is at least appropriate to the property. When people do that kind of fit-out to period houses is what really boils my piss. I suspect I'd adapt to living with it easily enough.

Lovely position, shame about the house!
Would be looking for more than 2 acres to counterbalance that much house square footage, although I think you are safe from development in the AONB(?)
Location is lovely. House is a mess of architectural styles and the interior is unpleasant.
It’s location in the AONB imposes some constraints over and above the normal ones applying to the countryside (govt advises that “a local authority must make sure that any proposals have regard for the purpose of conserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the AONB”).
I've only had a quick look but I quite like that. Yes there are some too blingy bits but I've seen a LOT worse

The views are lovely, not bad for £2.9m I;d ditch the bar/pool room as I have zero interest in that and as said some of it is a bit bling but all in all I could live there. Mind you a double garage is a bit meagre so I's have to build some extra garaging and a nice workshop.

It's a shame they want £10m for it then.

biglaugh I just entered 'Marley Heights' into Google and this ad from Strutt and Parker came up. I assumed it was the same place without scrolling down for a proper look. To be honest at £2.9m it's probably nicer and £7.1m cheaper... eek

We've had that before a while back. At that price, not sure why it hasn't sold

It's marked as sold on S&P's website

I like an original late Victorian/Edwardian place with all the quirks intact and this is great.
Complete with 'butler's pantry', 'morning room', 'drawing room' and 'game larder'. And no ensuites.

I felt no compulsion to waste more words on it.

But since you asked, it's a tiny plot that is mostly in the shade. What little garden you do have is slanting and therefore next to useless.

The exterior is ugly and for me the entire interior needs modernising. Small kitchen. No ensuites. The bedroom layout is like a hotel. I could go on. It's has no appeal for me whatsover.

Aspley Heath is a great location, but that plot is tight, been for sale for ages, price was nudging £2m. In the years this has been for sale better and cheaper houses have sold very quickly nearby.

... not sure... the S&P ad shows the house at the end of the tennis court, there are different surrounding trees and what appears a different aspect.
