Agree that is daft, presumably less than £10k to carpet and fix it though.

Think I would soften it with rugs and probably paint some rooms or walls, might disturb the aesthetic purity but that doesn't seem to be popular anyway hehe

As above - a ssurrounding village, but not Yarm. probably £15 taxi home from the bars ....
