I’d imagine it’s more to do with the time they were designed in, although big kitchens could be a novelty back then it’s really only a recent fad for big kitchens (last 30 years or so).

Hutton Rudby is lovely. Views over the N York Moors. Close to the A19.
I rather fancy this though

Ah, ‘The Kirk’. Where you could also stock up on Teesside Marching Powder. Allegedly biggrin

Where we went for a 'posh' night out, when you wanted to impress a girl who was used to the Carousel in Northallerton.

Just down the road, not as attractive externally but something you wouldn't have to reconfigure from a wedding venue back into a house (although you might want to redecorate) and the grounds look lovely.

Yes that would do. The garden would be good for sledging in the winter as well!

I'm confused by the pool? Is there a little pool with a passage you have to crawl through to get to it? How big is it?

Indeed. It's a Drew Pritchard wet dream.

Horrible interior. Pretentious mix of fairground and maritime tat. Fine as an Airbnb, but awful as a permanent home. The ‘garden’ is hilarious.

My mother-in-law lives there. I'll ask her if she's available, if you'd like.
