I think so. It is in the middle of nowhere (albeit only around a couple of hours from Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham), with not a great deal of local employment opportunities, but for anyone who can make their own income, I think it is a great opportunity. If I didn't already own something not dissimilar nearby I would be seriously tempted.

You don't have to have done well at school to build a successful business and sell it!
You don't have to be very smart or successful at anything to live in a big house if you have wealthy parents or grandparents.

Heres one form Grand Designs about a decade ago, not sure how much they spent in total then but it's up for million

I think that is very hard to beat at that price point. Really fantastic opportunity for someone there.

Rather like this modern, Malvern topping, affair.
I love that - and I had to look at the map to see where it was, since I've never noticed it when up there. So it's presumably more private than you'd expect for something which such open views.

To be fair, the house could be a hideous monstrosity and I'd still love it with those views.
The house is a hideous monstrosity with no land or garaging and double council tax.

But does have fantastic views.

I bet the fire officer would be delighted to see the location of that wood burner.
Who the hell signed that off?

Pontyclun definitely sounds like a rude word.

Not for me - it's within 400m of the M4 (junction 34). That appears to be a flat section of the motorway without even a cutting to ameliorate the 24 hour drone of road noise. It's a nice looking property on the inside, but I wouldn't pay that in that proximity of the motorway.

Playing devils advocate, if they're LED, they won't need doing very often. They'd be expensive though. And you'd want them to be very low equivalent wattage to not feel like you're in some kind of dentist or operating theatre.

If you had it connected to colour changing bulbs, and set it up right, you could have some cooool patterns though...

It looks like a kitchen showroom where they put one of each unit in to show the ranges off

That's the line my sparkie gave me too, but it's not my experience. So far we've had a 100% failure on the dozen expensive LED lamps he provided for our kitchen. Within 12 months the lot had been replaced under warranty.

I'm going back to my 50p cheapies from ScrewFix next time.

And that's before we mention the multi-colour kitchen. Blue, grey, green brown?

Ghastly.

I tyhink it's only two colours, but the lighting's so sparse that it creates shadows and makes the blue look grey.
