Hi Julian,

Followed this thread from the start, great stuff and interesting and funny stuff all the way through!

I may well be embarking on my own pool build in the coming months, and I understand you used a super helpful pool builder who went above and beyond, can you please let me know his details?

Ill be sure to do a build thread, wont be as good as yours though laugh
It was a great laugh and continues to be fun!

I would highly recommend it. The enjoyment we get out of it has been incredible.

It was Lrdisco (Nick) and he was absolutely brilliant (I mean seriously brilliant), but I am not sure he is available right now as he is doing some major project management work in Europe right now.

You could try to PM him and see what he has to say and any suggestions.

I would not even consider anyone else, unless Dr Interceptor could do it (again, he is brilliant).

Looking forward to seeing the build thread!

smile

What an amazing thread, just read it start to finish.
Don’t feel so isolated for a moment smile

My daughter had quadCP, the pool was her favourite too!
Glad you enjoyed it Craig and sorry to hear that about your daughter.

I hope it took a bit of the lockdown frustration away! smile

This is the good vibe thread, a little bit of sanctuary on PH.

Join in don't be shy you never know forky might put in a appearance. (hint, hint op)
It is amazing just how good everyone was on the thread. No trolling or bickering.

Well, there was the guy that posted a picture of his "super toilet", but even that was funny!

Forkey's bar is due to be completed in a few weeks time, so you will see some more of him then! biggrin

That is a better idea than forks in the shape of beer taps!

All will be revealed soon!

Well, hello again!

Great idea, I am thinking about something along the lines of this!

Could you help in the photography?

Just catching up on PH now. Been distracted.......

Great to meet you too Julian, and to see the legendary pool, which looks amazing with the surroundings and the furniture out there.

Didn't realise it was your birthday yesterday, so apologies for not having wished you birthday greetings at all over the past few days. Hope you had a great day! beer

The pots are a metre high and the trees another 2 to 3 metres.

Privacy will soon be restored! smile

It’s a beautiful pool.

Do you use it everyday at the moment?
Thank you! I haven't used it since the weekend as there is a problem with the boiler and so it is now freezing!

Steve the plumber is coming out this morning with the parts to fix it so hopefully we will be back in it this weekend when it has heated up again.

One thing this has taught me though, is that I was keeping it a too hot a temperature during summer, as when I was in last Sunday it had dropped to 27 degrees and was really refreshing!

Cheers!

It was all fine until new people moved into the house next door and got their secateurs out biggrin

Edited by CAPP0 on Thursday 23 July 22:27
Exactly mate!

I am only overlooked by one house that the guy who used to own my house built right next to it for his retirement, despite taking 6 acres of land with him.

The new owner seems to hate trees and privacy providing shrubs and has had them all removed, which had the effect of making his house appear to jump 30 foot closer to my pool courtyard!

These new trees will soon restore the situation!

It is a shame they were not installed when you and Mrs CAPP0 were round a couple of weekends ago, as the photos do not do them justice (particularly the pots and their sheer size)!

smile

The neighbour is in the Lounge Forum. He sells tickets allegedly. Not for much longer with that new Topiary. I did warn Julian to keep some of that stuff on the down but loose lips as they say
Morning mate

It wouldn't surprise me if he was!

When he moved in I went round with a bottle of Champagne and a card to welcome him to the village and haven't heard a word from him since!

He also looks like a baddie from the first Die Hard movie! biggrin
