Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Hardly as if it's a "traveller" site. It's a retirement community, for the over 50's and not "mobile homes" either.

As a current builder of a neo Georgian pad locally ( I like them sorry !) the price of that for 8000 sq ft next to the m25 is daft

I have to add this:

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/108302459#/...

It's only about 5 miles from the centre of Sheffield - really isolated, desolate and cold, but in a fantastic setting.

I went in this property about 30 years ago and it never seems to look any more ‘done’ but I doubt £1 million would see it completed to the level it deserves.
That's a bit of a mess, even with the views I wouldn't want to live there.

£2m is also insanely expensive for somewhere that will need a huge amount to make it look respectable.

This is the same price and it's been on the market for a while.

They've both been on the market for a good while.

The first one is priced optimistically i think would be the best word to describe it.

Could be stunning though. Windy and cold up there in the winter though. Could be a wonderful house.

Looked at the 2nd one (on line - not realistically) several time and from the outside i think its gorgeous, but i'm left cold once i start clicking through the interior.

I've always said that if I had the space, I'd build a climbing wall. This is way underutilised -

Nor me. Doubt you’ll see it from the house and it’ll be partly screened by trees/hedges for a good part of the year anyway

Quite. Lovely part of the world. Grew up round there. My folks live in Rosemount now and are always busy with some sort of social thing... golf, wine club, cycling club, walking club, book festival etc. All the usual Rotary/WI stuff is represented locally. Blairgowrie Drive-it Day has been well attended (pre-covid). The Blairgowrie to Dunkeld road is one of my favourites and goes right past the door. That house would suit me very nicely, if it wasn't too close to my parents biggrin and a quite a bit above budget.

Quite. I really like that part of the world too, hence my interest. The “Park Home” development wasn’t the reason I rejected it when Savills contacted me last week, though it does affect the value.

This was an interesting one in Rosemount.

Very authentic A&C with most original features still present. Nice area, too (caravan site well out of view/earshot behind it, I think) - I mean it's not a chalet in Abersoch but you can't have it all smile

...and whilst in the area, a(n easy) fixer-up with 1500 sq ft and great views. What would it cost in that there Cornwall?:

I'd love the Morfa Bychan place, my Dad is from Borth-y-Gest and I spent most childhood holidays there, and often go back now.

That's a cracker. And far easier to heat than the Savills one, I'd imagine. Good luck with the hunt. Not sure how deep your local knowledge goes, but if I can help at all, just shout.

This is just round the corner from me. I quite like the house and the grounds (who wouldn't want their own mini football pitch?!) but the decor isn't entirely to my taste

certainly better than the usual characterless neo geo rubbish that dominates the rest of Cobham....

He or she is a climber - they don't tend to give a f*ck about such things hehe

Edit: and going by the rest of the house, neither does anyone else!
