It is Francesca's 15th Birthday today and she was 11 when this thread started (to get the pool built in time for her 12th Birthday).

Where does the time go! biggrin

Hi All

I had missed these posts due to being quite busy on the Intelligent Money thread in the Finance section, which has now become the go to place to take the micky out of me! hehe

Yes, that was a bit of an off field post, but as most people here know, the pool was built for Francesca (who is in it right now) and was always going to be of uniform depth so she could stand up in it at any point.

As others have said, let's keep this a happy thread! smile

Great day for it. With summers becoming increasingly warmer it seems, perhaps the outdoor pool industry will take off.
The thing is, if you crank the heat up they become giant hot tubs throughout the other months!

Julian - love the pictures - Forkys looks fabulous love

My late Aunt left me some £, we were going to use it to pay off some of the mortgage but Sarnie said to invest it instead... This gave me Julianesqe ideas, and I mounted a spirited, passionate, well argued campaign; but my husband has (for once) put his foot down & said no - I can’t have a pool (not even a blow up) in the back garden of our semi frownbiglaugh

To be fair to him, it would be him doing the work of keeping it clean etc (because, like the vacuum, it’s gadgets so he takes it over biglaugh)
Thanks Ali! smile

Sarnie is a good mate of mine and is usually right! If you would like to chat over investments then just give me a shout, given that is what I do for a living! biggrin

I don't think much rain water will be getting past the tree canopies and actually into the pots.
You were completely correct and now I think I have more hosing length than B&Q! biggrin

(It is very rare that I can boast about length!)

Guess what I have been doing for the last 2 hours!
