I really like this. Would the upkeep outweigh the advantages of living in such an old place?
love that. Might need to tone down some of the 'character' features, but nothing major!

That is exquisite - I love it.

First time I've seen a house described as 'charismatic' though; stretching the term a little, but I know what they're getting at.

Don't think this one has been posted?

Walking distance to Silverstone circuit, mahoosive garage / workshop.

Price has gone up since it was last for sale and the weeds have taken hold.

Near to me and one id love to buy. Sadly, waaay out of my league.

That's been up before. Last time the garage was full of stuff. Nice garage but not keen on the house interior.

I think it is amazing - completely different to what I would normally go for - maybe because it is so far out!

A big euromillions win and it is on my shortlist!

I don't normally like ultra modern (and what is actually a 1960s James Bond villain inspired villa so 50+ years old) but I do like that. As a car chap I feel it's a real shame the drive in garage and turning circle has gone but I'm sure that could be reinstated, I could see my Aston parked in there!

One thing, looking at it on Google Earth it surprised me that you can take that landing stage right out to the centre of the stream because it effectively blocks off half the river to other traffic. I know nothing about planning permissions in river estuaries but I was just surprised. That said it's obviously necessary given the draft and beam of the Disco Volante smile

Crikey £6m+ to live in a terrace of houses on a footballer's estate when for just double that you could have the Beaulieu River property. No comparison for me!

Interesting prawn for the entrepreneur. Jamaica Inn, the famous smugglers pub on Bodmin Moor, used in the novel of the same name by Daphne de Maurier and also once owned by Alastair MacLean is for sale.
