No matter how much I tell myself it'd be 10 times more work for 1/10 of the money, I can't help but look for a nice Scottish farm to ruin my health with after watching This Farming Life.
Or do the Dick Strawbridge Chateau thing in France.

Very nice, something modern I like. It just might be taking open plan a bit too far maybe?

There appears to be a brace of lavatories, both doored, to remove the awkwardness of dropping the kids off at the pool in front of your new love you've taken away for a romantic weekend. I think it's fine.

I'm not a fan of having the kitchen in the bedroom through, you don't want cooking smells in the bedroom.

Still, can't fault the location, can you?

That's a really handsome place, just a shame it hasn't kept its outbuildings and land (and it's going to suck up some cash to sort).

That 'entrance' is spectacular.
I have no inclination (or ability...!) to learn French, though.

Add the optional paddock and it's all the house I'd ever need.
I keep looking at houses where they've split the plot up to sell it for more. For some reason it annoys me, I don't want to buy a huge house with a relatively small garden and a potential building plot next to it.
Few people do which is why it's a good way to get people to pay more. It's one of the heads you win, tails you win situations for a vendor.

Really it's just a means to highlight the premium for the land clearly enough.

Did you know Church of England places of worship are exempt from the requirement to obtain listed building consent from local councils to undertake internal or external changes. I thought that was quite interesting.

Thats interesting, and probably why my local church - which is very nice in the main, has a stty dividing wall and 'function room' bodged in at one end.

Propmpted by it being in the Top 10 best places to live in the UK. Good value, Kings Lynn, clearly.

That is stunning. But it has a £3,500 service charge and only 59 years left on the lease. I'd love to know what the freeholder / manager does to warrant a £300 per month service charge!

Also seemingly no parking & a communal garden. I suppose it's priced in but still.
