Sorry, hideous in so may ways.
Each to their own. That I like very much.
Afraid I fall into the 'hate' camp. Awful. Just awful.

But, as you say, each to their own; it's a good job we all like different things or else all houses would be the same.

It's not my favourite on here by a long shot and no the outside while not being offensive to me could be better.

But there is a lot to be said for getting a house that you don't have to do anything to, has just the right amount of land and great views. Even has a pool.

I'm not much of an interior designer so I think with my lottery win a house like that would make a quick easy buy. I'd just need to build a few more garages.

Not a house, but a little building for a few cars and bottles of wine! I'm assuming the house is rather substantial as this looks plenty big enough to live in!

Used to walk past that quite regularly when we lived nearby, it maybe on an island but it's not very private/secluded. There is a very busy car park up the road and the amount of unsavouries (yes even in Weybridge) that use the route from Walton would put me off, looks like a lot of moorings use it as well, so not sure it's the whole island

not for the petrolhead either... leave your cars in a gravel public car park on 'the mainland'. Not the biggest island either, I wonder if it has land off the island too?

Pretty sure that's why it's £4 million as the moorings produce a fair income. I too live close to this place and was quite interested when it came on the market as it's a very unique house all be it with some draw backs. With a road bridge and then ditching the morrings to regain the privacy it would be perfect in my view. But as it is I think it's more of a commercial investment as it'd make a fantastic hotel /restaurant/ wedding venue.

Second one is nice, can't believe you have to go through the ensuite to get to the master bedroom though.

Third one needs more roof lanterns.

Has to be a footballers gaff surely?

I like the view and the garage block but it's properly hideous from the outside.

I would have thought it would be one of the player's pads yes mate. A number of them live down my folks road and a retired ex-England player turned property developer got embedded in the area a few years ago and now has made miraculous headway in planning applications on formerly inaccessible plots of land/extensions/revamps etc. He now sells to a lot of the players and so a sudden rise in Cayennes in the neighbourhood.

Like you, I like the garage and the view. I also quite like the study. Other than that, it's proper chintz.

Chintz eek If it was a hotel, I'd check out the next day to find somewhere more tasteful - even the garage block looks soulless in an industrial style.

i could just about manage the idea of that being £10M because of where it is and the potential... but £50M is surely the sort of price you would be charging for the finished article... definitely aimed at the Oligarch money, not trying to turn a profit. I guess if it was a bargain to be had it would have been snapped up and converted long, long ago.

My guess is there is a story behind this where 50M pounds is not consider a significant sum of money.
