Perhaps the shiniest, most reflective house ever, and it still looks small.

Going by the floor plan, the house is a touch over 20 feet by 20 feet - it’s never going to look big… Room sizes are limited as a result, but it’s probably not too bad for the area. Can’t say I have local knowledge to check though. biggrin

Two tubes within a stroll
Option for parking
Master with WIC
Rooftop Jacuzzi and BBQ

This for me is London Pawn and not expensive in the big scheme ( obviously in isolation the price is high)

Can't think of a better way to spend the money. SW7 would be just perfect. Bugger the noise, the streetview, the parking, neighbours etc. A great place to live, not like some of these piles out in the counrty miles from anywhere.

In fairness, as mews properties go that's pretty tidy.

Conversely, I can't think of a worse way to spend the money. Noise, neighbours, parking, terraced. Worst of all, it's in London. Each to their own.

I agree it's ridiculous and stupid money. I'd be far more excited if it still had great big heavy weight wooden doors, granite cobbled floor and room for 3 or 4 cars at ground level with a small workshop and a flat above. hehe But then having said that, I grew up in London and, as a car enthusiast, I can think of nowhere worse to live these days. my image of a mews cottage is pure notalgia, noting to do with hot tubs on the roof terrace, overlooked by all and sundry on a cold, damp, overcast London day!

I think you’re right; I suspect the halcyon days of mews living are largely if not totally gone. Distant relatives of ours lived in one in the seventies until the nineties, but got so disillusioned with the noise, traffic congestion, fumes and lack of privacy they sold up (handsomely) and relocated to Devon!

Well I’d love it.

In fact I used to live a mile away in Chelsea (Humble brag coming up) in the road adjacent to Hugh Grants. I often used to see him getting into his Ferrari parked outside, I’m sure he talks of me often.

When his gaff came up for sale it too had a rooftop jacuzzi. I’d pay good money to - actually I’ll stop there!!

My place was one of the very few detached houses in Chelsea with a garage.

I’m in Nairobi now, quite a contrast.

I feel I’m being stalked on here sometimes - which I quite enjoy.

My Ferrari was when I was in Bedfordshire, lovely house, modest money. It was “Only” a 360 Spider, Hugh had an F12 and an 812 super fast I think.

I have no axe to grind TY4C and in fact have been a very big fan of your quarantine thread and wish you all the best. I am simply thinking when detached Chelsea property is mentioned its patently clear how running Ferraris on £40k PA is achievable. The same as another poster who is at pains to tell us of his achievements and then drops into other threads about his ma's pad in Sunningdale/Wentworth hehe

You're not alone in noticing that. Accusing others of smugness was the cherry on the iced bun.
