Congratulations, was meant to exchange on a new house yesterday but all collapsed Thursday night after about 6 months.
Long story short, 5 people in the chain, I am in the middle.
Bottom seller has lost 2 buyers over 6 months, one could not get a mortgage despite saying they had one and the second thought prices were going to go down and revised their offer which was declined. They now have a cash buyer and still want the person below mines house.
My buyers are fine as am I and the people above which leaves the people at the top. They are downsizing to a new build in Dorset but decided Thursday night that they don’t want to be away from their grand children.
After this blow the various parties talked people and the people above me said they had seen something else they liked but have since called me today to say they decided it is to much stress and are not going to sell.
Makes me feel really guilty on my buyers as they had their heart set on my house due to the school catchment and a new job but I can’t see anything else on the market that I even want to go and view so will have to stay put.
The sooner the buying system changes the better. Rant over!
Sorry to hear that mate. It's bad enough people pulling out but doing so the night before? I'd be having kittens.Long story short, 5 people in the chain, I am in the middle.

Buyer's solicitor still not happy with the lease, management company being useless. This is getting to piss-take levels now and I'm wondering if it's going to fall through.
Never buying a leasehold again.
Ah that's a long time. Never buying a leasehold again.
Completion all on for Thursday. Getting excited now.
