Have you filled the gaps between the floorboards?

If not, be warned, you'll get slugs coming up through them!
...and dreadful drafts in the winter
They'll have a job getting through the cellar I hope!! wink

The floor looks lovely but can I ask why you've had it done when it looks like you've got some plastering work still to do? Lots of dust sheets to hand I hope!

Simply because like the plumbing, electrics & double glazing, the floors were done by trades & much easier for them to do before we moved in.

The rest of the work, plastering, sorting bathrooms, kitchen, decorating etc can be done now we're in, by us, with plenty of dust sheets (& cardboard) to protect the floors.

In May, I won an eBay auction for a fireplace, to replace the existing one; it was £26 so I was delighted

My delight turned to grateful tears when the Seller realised I had shaved my hair off to raise funds for Marie Curie and he told me to put the payment into Marie Curie rather than pay him for it.

It didn't quite fit, so my husband has been chiseling bits of brick out and it's finally in biggrin

(We're not decorating yet)

The cardboard is temporary to stop the cats from climbing up it

That looks nice there. The room has good proportions. It will be lovely when it is done.

Thank you

It's going to be a labour of love, over many years, but we're having fun doing it smile
