It's a 40.We love the look of it but I'm not convinced the quality is as it should be. The 40/45 is manufactured exclusively for the UK market and they build batches at a time to suit demand.
They sent the last one back to Denmark for testing at their factory and I'm still waiting to hear back regarding their post mortem.
Their rep confirmed that mine was not the only one he'd had problems with and mentioned a potential issue with welds on the firebox.

I've got a Morso Squirrel 5kw in the back room. Being cast iron it takes longer to heat up than a steel stove which means you need to light it ahead of using the room. I wish I'd followed my father's advice and gone for the 5kw Clearview that he owns as it's steel and starts emitting heat much sooner. I think he takes some delight from the fact that his glass stays much cleaner than mine despite both of us using wood from the same source.

We have a clearview vision 500, installed 7 years ago. We looked at loads of brands, originally wanted a Hwam, although we couldn't make it work in the space. Happy with what we've ended up with, over a season, and it's on every night for 6 months or so, I might clean the glass 3 or 4 times if we haven't been burning hot. Will happily go overnight if required, and the missus likes the relatively large glass door. Dearer than some, cheaper than others, for me, it's good value for what it provides as its foolproof in operation, unlike the various offerings my mates have had installed after seeing ours.
We had a Clearview installed about 6 years ago.
I think it has already been said, but we are very pleased with it's performance. Ours is on pretty much constantly from Oct-Apr. Overnight burns are no problem. I empty the ash probably once every 3-4 weeks. The glass does get dirty if you do not burn hot regularly, but that is easy to clean.
Like you I was tempted to go for a cheaper brand to save a few hundred pounds. In the end I went with the safe option of a CV and have never regretted it.
Let us know what you decide...

This is a timely read! Just moved into a relatively modern oak framed house, and I need 2x woodburners (previous occupant had an electric stove with those oh so lovely artificial flames 
).
Chap just came round with 3x brochures - Clearview, Woodwarm and Charnwood. I'm tempted by the clearview as he simply raved about how good they are, i'll never have to clean the glass, it's more efficient than perpetual motion, etc etc...£1400 a pop though so not cheap.
I have a revolution-era cottage in Normandy and got a 20kW burner for €1000 a couple of years ago...guess they're just cheaper over there. I'm forever cleaning the glass though, and once all the granite has heated up it gets a bit too toasty for my liking.
Sounds like Clearview are highly recommended. May as well take the plunge then.

Glad to hear this - We're getting a Contura 51L installed early next month. Can't friggin wait We used to have a stovax stockton 5 in our old house which again was great, but the contura is in a different league.
