I'll see if I can dig some pics out. They may contain drunken people in random poses though!
Even more intrigued now...

Shame about John Merrick's sister in the foreground.
hehe Yeah, I was gonna say, there does seem to be an uncanny amount of burns victims at that bar...!

We had a bar in one of the rooms in our old house. Was pretty cool. We had a big wood burning stove and a beamed ceiling, sofas, optics, fridge etc. Then we had all this old bar memorabilia like tankards, old signs etc.

Was great until someone had a few too many and would get behind the bar and smash at least 40 glasses accidentally.

I struggle to think of something more chav to have in your house than a bar.

The only two people that I have ever seen with one are Del Boy and Fat Pat off Eastenders.

If that's something you aspire to then go for it. biggrin

Whether its Chavvy or not to have a bar in a room - each to their own. Certainly not a bit of me. But have to admit i did put 2 into my games room, gotta have somewhere to put your beer on while having a game of 9 ball. Did draw the line at optics and pumps! simple fridge full of becks does the trick...

It's your house... and I have to say I do actually like the haiwiaan beach bar effort in the Barratt house back garden above - it is indeed the wide selection of nuts that raises it above a garden shed with a fridge, but...
I've been in the living room of a house with a bar in the corner - the owner loved it to bits.
Horse brasses, dark stained wood, the lot.
In a 1900's terrace! Rest of the house was tidy, well kept, not 'country-pub' at all until you stepped into the fake beamed and heavily patterned carpet nightmare that was the 'lounge bar'.
Living room was no more than 12' square - behind the bar he could barely breath.

Strangely, the house was on the market for months. And months....
