Real Estate nightmares (Vol 2)

We're looking for, £300k(ish) cottage type feel. Country side location, lots of land (as in garden, not farm level)
Yep, this one needs a tad too much work!

You're fine if there's a basin in the toilet.

What is it with these rendered new builds that turns the walls 'moldy' (there's an estate I regularly drive past that are all covered in green slime/mold on exterior walls) is it that they are super insulated so there's no heat escaping which keeps the walls permanently damp?Fermit said:

Yeah, it kinda needs the shed look removed to make it more "cottagey" and less "garden shed", and parts of it look a bit 70s/80s where they'd modernised bits at the time.Yep, this one needs a tad too much work!

I think they missed a trick there - rename office to "living room" and rename "living room" to "Bedroom 3", then add £30k to the price.

I've often wondered about this "building plot". The front of the bungalow is on the busiest junction for 10 miles in any direction. The traffic does not stop, day or night. Your nearest shop is Tesco. Whilst it's open, there's traffic.
The other side of a pedestrian alleyway is a pumping station. When the traffic is light, you can hear the pumps quietly humming.
The back of the plot has vehicle access from a road built approx 1966.
I see it being torn down, and a couple of town houses built. How you drown out the road noise would be an interesting issue to have.
