6'x8' shower room with walk-in... anyone got pics of theirs?
Discussion
I know it's a bit of a thread diversion, but looking at this thread, I genuinely think I have tastes to anyone else, which is worrying for resale! You boys seem to like the clean, Euro Hotel look (which is very smart - just not my thing!)
Styles of our bathrooms (currently under construction, and these are the pics that inspired the way they will look):
In terms of shower enclosure/wetroom design, previous lessons:
If doing a wetroom,
- for God's sake make sure the floor is properly stable
- underfloor heating is worth it - cheap electrical kind is fine, with wifi control so it doesn't always have to be on
- overspec the extraction. I use Xpelair C4 (bath rooms) and C6 (shower rooms) fans: they look nice, aren't exepensive and are great.
- non-slip floor tiles. Seriously.

Totally fair!
But even the larger ones I've seen on the thread are super-sleek.
My view is that the look is just tiles and furniture. As long as the correct tech is in place underneath (UFH, correct electrics, proper subfloor, quality wall hung loo frames, quality thermostatic shower/bath plumbing etc), a buyer should not care what it looks like, as changing it is only cosmetic, right?
Mind you - I probably shouldn't care about resale - due to current climate, I think we'll be in it for a while anyway!
