And because you'd be hit by a car within the first week on those roads.........

Nah the white line 30cm from the curb taking in manhole covers, parked cars and drains is great infrastructure for safe cycling.

Relatively local to me, would be a lot more in a better area. Plans are underway to build on cricket club on the other side of the road but it's got everything you could need!

Quite nice, but If I were spending £2.5m on paradise peninsular I think I'd be looking over Caldy way at something like this

The best ones are the 10 or so Shore road, come up for sale once in a blue moon but the location would be amazing

That's very nice. A bit out of the way maybe but as an early retirement spot it would be great.

That one has been for sale for a while. Another one we looked at when we were moving.

Shore Road is a nice private road, an old friend of mines parents live there. True that they don't come up for sale very often, gets quite busy around the car park at the end of the road when the weather is nice.

Only problem with Caldy is the walking distance to the nearest shop/pub for example. One of the reasons we ended up in Lower Heswall.

This has been for sale for a couple of years now, maybe a bit longer. We put a cheeky offer in but same applies, can't nip out on foot really.

I spent 4 years on the Wirral - stunning cloudy formations, lots of mosquitos.

Lower Heswall is really nice, few mates live there, and a some decent pubs on your way up into town. Always feel like you've earnt your pint walking up the hill biggrin

Luckily, I'm on the same level as the Dee View so it's not so bad. No hills really, slight incline into the town centre.

This isn't Pawn, and it's not a nightmare, so why am I posting it?

For someone prepared to take the risk, the side garden offers a punt on planning permission for another house. Value of plot with planning probably £250k in that part of town. Value of remaining bungalow with smaller plot? Maybe knock £50k off?

I've seen this done a few times recently in the area.

The thing that stops me ? I don't have the money (about £280k short if we sold our house) and it isn't on the 2 streets my wife wants to live on (in a true bungalow)

That used to belong to the former CEO of Liverpool FC.

The relative remoteness is a big positive for me. Wonderful place.

Whats wrong with this house? I cant believe its been on the market so long. I've been eyeing it out for some time now while looking at options and just cant believe its not sold yet.

It’s not exactly attractive, looks like it has been extended many times without much thought to what the finished product will look like.

However I'm not actually sure you can drive to the garage which seems a bit flawed. And it's very narrow, Caterhams only.

Knock sheds 3, 4, and 5 together and add a suitable door. The gap is narrow but most cars will go through, not a house for owners of Hummers or Maybachs though.
