Soft Close Toilet Seat Hinge Fubar

No point in messing about tightening the grub screw on the hinge of this soft close toilet seat, the collet is fubar.



The problem is, I have no recollection of where we bought our bathroom from! Are these things universally adaptable? Or does it have to be specific?

Got to agree, they're pretty crap, gone through three of them.

The Argos one's are OK ish, not the soft snappable plastic which is the problem we've had before with a fat ar*e like me sitting on the closed seat bathiuing the grandkids and crack, there goes the plastic one.

Our toilet seat doesn't look like it's a regular 'standard' shape. It looks specific to the pan. I'm hoping to get a new pair of hinges. Might have to take them into a bathroom shop.
