Raised Brick Flower Bed Footings
Discussion
Planning to build some raised flower beds before we re-do the grass with artificial grass, only want them raised around 5 courses of bricks & roughly 2ft wide - 1 each side of the garden (small garden).
Base wise for these, what's best? Just dig out a trench and fill with concrete and add some drain holes?
Anyone know how deep I should go? I usually go as deep as I can
Cheers

Depends on soil etc
The reason homes go down 1m is usually to avoid problems due to tree roots and clay soil shrinking and heaving.
If a crack will bother you then go deep.
Personally I'd only go around 12" - who cares if it moves a bit. If it was for a fussy client - 1m then I'm covered.

It's an 18" wall at most with nothing sitting on it, unless you're using utterly crap concrete how much do you really think it needs as a footing?
Unless there's something likely to disturb it or the ground is unstable or it really needs anchoring to stop it rolling over then 4 to 6 inches is surely plenty to keep it straight? Even that might be overkill depending on conditions and the shape of the wall.
This is getting like the fashion for building concrete shed bases to a spec that you could park a tank on.
