Layout / Floor Plan help for ground floor in our house

We have lived in this house (60's Semi) for about 18 months and the time is approaching where we can afford to get the kitchen redone, as we're living with fantastic 80's tiles and barely attached cupboards.

At the same time it may be worth reconfiguring the living room, dining room and kitchen into a better layout.

This is the current layout:


Would it be a good idea to turn Living Room / Diner and Kitchen into Living Room and Kitchen / Diner?

I am struggling to work out the best use of space. Any ideas?

Fridge can't go immediately beside the oven, door widths may be on th episs etc but you get the jist
