Nail detector for timber

Hi Folks,
I'd like to use some reclaimed timber in my next project - I've found a local recycling place that sells it very cheaply and there is something nice about reusing the wood.
However, it does throw up the problem of nails ruining my planer etc. Famous You tubers in the US like Frank Howarth (amazing videos if you like that sort of thing) use a thing called a lumber wizard, which doesn't seem to be available here in the UK.
does anyone have a recommendation of a specific gadget that worked for them? - could the sort of 3-in-1 detector you use for finding stud walls (like this) and electrics be of any use?
