Looking for advice from any sparks on here. Ours is off site for a few weeks and I don't want to call someone else in for something silly.
We've got a site hut with a Heatrae Sadia 15 electric water heater. Most of the time it's fine , but sometimes when it's up to temperature instead of the stat shutting it off, it trips the rcd. Sometimes the wee (30a) one in the hut, sometimes the main board at the consumer unit (40a) and it kicks the whole site out.
I've looked inside the unit and everything looks ok, not much to go wrong, just the heater element and a stat, no sign of burning or anything. I've checked the socket and switch it's connected to and it's the same although if you flick the switch in the dark, you can see a wee flash at the switch. I've also visually checked the wiring back to the rcd and it all looks fine.
Any suggestions?

You need a sparks to test the circuit, someone could be electrocuted if there are faults.
