1200mm wide door opening

We have 1200mm wide pvc French doors at the minute but the bar down the middle is massive and ruins the view to outside as it is such a small opening. Anyone know of any single opening doors this wide that would offer a full glass pane view to outside pvc doors seem to stop at 1100mm wide for single openings.

A conventional single-leaf door is possible (any decent joinery firm will manufacture one for you), but a bit cumbersome, with a large swing.

The largest standard, conventional single leaf doorset is for a 1000mm structural opening (and is what we routinely specify for wheelchar access).

You might want to Google 'pivot door' as a possibly better alternative.

Thanks just looked at them says they not good for exposed positions which ours is. Might have to go aluminium as the profile will be smaller although I'm tempted to go fixed glass and just do away with the opening.

I was going to suggest an aluminium door. Aluk ones can come in 1200 wide, they double the top hinge for over 1000 wide I think. Planning to get one of these fully glazed for our front door in the future.
