Aqualisa shower valve problem

I'm attempting to fit a new shower valve , according to instructions the inlet pipe centres are adjustable to line up with existing pipework , i'm struggling somewhat with acually how they adjust ! The brass inserts look to have a hex head of sorts but with not much meat to actually get an allen key in there (even if i had one the correct size . Anyone had this ? I don't really want to cut the existing pipework until i know i can fit it .

Sorted! The project manager ( the mrs) was reading the wrong instructions and the inlets are non adjustable ! Ffs now i have to chase out the whole wall .
