Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can recommend me a free CAD software so that I can try and plan out a new bathroom myself instead of getting someone else to do it.

Just to add complexity I'm on a MAC so Visio is out the window!

Draftsight is free, we use it at work for all our CNC saw work.

If you've never used drawing software before I wouldn't bother......it'll do your head in!! Either trust me or own up after you've had a go and given up.

Honestly, if you can't sort a bathroom layout without a pencil and paper (to scale) what's the point of trying to get to grips with CAD?

The problem with design software (like most others I expect) is that the simpler they try to make it, the less adaptable it is to your own particular requirements.

If you don't mind spending some time learning it then Sketchup is free and is probably the most popular CAD software on the planet. Once you have learned it you will use it again and again.

There's masses of tutorial videos on YouTube.
