I need to select a shower pump that does both hot and cold and can function without a positive head at all the outlets. How do I know what size of pump to select?

How many outlets/pressure required? Bigger is better if your pipework is in good condition.

I have a 4 bar universal, which does 2 bathrooms and the kitchen fine.

Two mixer showers and one sink is the requirement.

Yes, vented system, but one of the showers is more or less the same height as the header, so little or no pressure head there.

These pumps are not cheap so I want to get the right size. I can't really afford to just buy the biggest pump if I don't need it. I'll ring them in the week to see what they say.

I've one of these, plenty of pressure. One attic shower room + main shower in 1st floo bathroom.

I have a very weighty one that's up for grabs as we've recently moved to an unvented system.

Will post up a pic so folk can judge it's merit for the OP

o/p why don't you just google the question?

There are several pages from pump suppliers and manufacturers that will supply the information you need.
Of course, you could just use PH but you will have to sort the guesses and opinions from fact.

Whilst standing under a hot waterfall is very pleasant, a powerful shower uses much more hot water than a shower that is merely adequate. You may not want to splash a lot of energy down the plug hole by having overly powerful showers. Selecting a suitable shower head can improve the effect without raising the pressure.

Sorry about the rough photos, it's still sat in the attic where the heating engineers left it - don't know if it's worth anything but weighs a tonne and seems quality...
