We have a Victorian terrace with a chimney breast aysymetric to the wall. It effectively cuts a large corner from our two reception rooms and two upstairs bedrooms too. Next door have Thiers removed, but the current owners bought it like that! Just wondering how complex and expensive it'd be to remove it completely? The fireplaces have long since been ripped out and filled in. Not our doing I must say. Anyone had this done or work in the trade? Any advice welcome. Ta.

Got any pictures? It really is how long is a piece of string. Assuming a skip is £250, couple of builders @ £300 a day. You would then need a structural engineer - few £100? and associated metal supporting beam - £???

Never having done the project, I can only throw out figures I have heard/seen batted around. I stand to be corrected...

Search around for local builders/ask neighbour if any paperwork came with the houe showing who removed there.
