Callout for a landlord i went to yesterday, after chasing a short throughout the house, i finally came accross the cause...

In all my years i have never came accross something like this growing inside a box inside the house (well its a conservatory).

So what the fk is it? Caused from the drain?

If i just replace the boxes, is it likely to come back?

Anyone come accross this?

Eggs. Insects or spiders or something along those lines.

Probably worth sending a photo to some of the spider, bug, insect and zoological websites, to see if they can make a good ID. Many will have a guess at the photos if you're polite enough.

Or send it into BBC Springwatch and see if they want to feature it on their upcoming show.

Could even be fungus.

No, but he could poke bits of poo in through the holes.
