A friend has some large bamboo plants in containers which she won't be able to take with her when she moves. This is them 2 years ago:

They are Murilliae umbrella or fountain bamboo, nearly 4m high now. To buy something like this from a big plant nursery would be expensive so she hopes they must have some value.

Are there any particular forums where this sort of thing is sold? If it was a watch or a car I'd know where to go.

I'd phone round the local landscape gardening companies.

A punter off the street is highly unlikely to have the means to move those.

Most landscaping companies won't want to hold stock.

Might be worth trying a smaller indy garden centre, or just ebay em.

Maybe not but like a lot of sales you just need to get lucky with someone who needs them soon.

I put a load of rubble on ebay to save me taking it to the dump. Turns out a local chap was just about to start doing a driveway and it was win, win.

I've bought palms from Gumtree before. Somebody will definitely want them. Also try Ebay.

There are also a few Facebook groups dedicated to hardy exotics. Join those, post ads.

Thanks everyone, I'll pass on the suggestions. I'd rather not post too much information as I don't want it to seem like a stealth sales post but north west.
