Hoping for some knowledge on what appears to be a fairly cheap and unliked Garage door opener - the Marantec Comfort 220.

I have moved to a new house, no remotes for the two garage (matching) doors and openers.
See below:

Open plan with oddly. - a stbox in the corner.

I need to get some sockets and shelving in......
And make sure the SWMBO has no plan to partition to put Dobbin in...

But in the meantime :

we all have to start somewhere.......

Carnage ensues over the weekend and I expect it 2/3rds full of crap !
New Remotes received in the post, and managed to easily set up the left hand side.
Plugged / power on the Marantec head unit in for the Right hand side and all I am getting is a repeated blinking - of LED's 3 and 4.

Link to movie : https://www.dropbox.com/s/3krxkbs3rg2ayxk/IMG_4300...

Looking up the various manuals, this is not an error code acknowledged anywhere
(manual showing various errors here : https://www.waverleygaragedoors.com.au/instruction... )

I have turned it off and on again.
Long held the 'P' button
and even given it a stern talking to.

It seems to be dead for the exception of the blinking LED's.
When powering off, you can hear a relay or similar click 'off'.
The appearance of the working opener, versus the duff one is the same, and with a jumper unit etc.

TL:DR

Is the Marantec st? and How can I do a full reset to a potentially dead unit.

I have had a quick look at what you posted - the leds, according to the manual, suggest the open limit has been reached and / or the unit has timed out.

Can you do a full reset of the system so that it can re-learn the opening and closing limits - once that is done then you might be able to program the handset. Check the photocells and limit switches
Looks like instructions are from page 28 onwards for programming limits

Thanks - the programming of Page 28 was fine 'on the other door' ( I actually followed this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApRZRnSIqKc much simpler than the manual) - and I then started on the errant door.

This errant door wont enter the mode to 'teach' and learn the limits.

I can not find the reference to the LED 3 & 4 flashing though ? confused where did I miss it?

Again- looking to do a full reset, but the unit is totally unresponsive to button pressing.....

Page 5 of the manual has a list of the symbols
Check the sensors - might be something jammed in the limit switch so the unit won’t engage in order to avoid damaging itself (hopefully)

Appreciate the patience. I'll report back in the morning if anything can be seen. The doors have little / no things attached, - no interior actuation buttons either which I might have to look in to....

Reporting back.... no such thing as limit switches, external cables, switching etc. Its a ll a single contained head unit. Nothing else to it...

Stand down, Marantec say :

"Dear Mr XXXXXX

The error code that is displayed is indicating a failure of the control module. Unfortunately this will require the operator to be replaced.

Your nearest installer is Oxley Garage Doors, they can be contacted on 01482 444000

Bad luck, but at least you know where you stand, likely just the PCB is done but you'll have to buy an all new head unit to fix it.

I had the same door & issue - after 11 year of solid service, circuit board gave up.

New head fitted in 15 mins and has been working perfectly for last 3 years.

I expect it will last another 7 years but outside of the circuit board going its been immensely reliable.
